Project Details
Tüpraş İzmit Refinery Management Facility is designed as a green building with a progressive perspective. In the scope of Tüpraş Management Facility, which has received LEED Gold certification by the consultancy of TURKECO, many green strategies have been applied. In order to restore the natural structure of the land, the roof of the building and the majority of the ground were cultivated with local herbs, and a 50% savings was achieved in water use compared to a similar standard building.
As a result of high performance insulating elements, efficient mechanical systems and evaluation of lighting design, 30% energy efficiency is achieved according to ASHRAE standard.
