Zeytinburnu Municipality Building is evaluated in accordance with BREEAM In-Use criteria; obtaining the degree of ‘Very Good’ in the ‘Asset-Building Performance’ category and the degree of ‘Good’ in the ‘Building Management’ category, it had become the first BREEAM In-Use certificated municipal building in Turkey.
By using energy efficient systems and low water consumption luminaires, consumption is greatly reduced. With the environmental management policy implemented, the environmental impacts caused by the structure are reduced. With the sustainable purchasing policy, and the selection of local and low VOC materials reduces the environmental impacts caused by the material. Healthy indoor conditions are ensured by monitoring the CO in the building. The offices are designed to provide a comfortable working environment by organizing employees to ensure maximum daylight.
The fact that the project is close to public transportation points and urban facilities make a great contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions from transportation.
