Project Details
Küçükçekmece Municipality Building, evaluated in accordance with the criteria of BREEAM Bespoke International 2010 and took ‘Very Good’ certificate in the design and construction phase and has been the only BREEAM certified public building which is responsive to the environment in Turkey.
In this project, which aims to provide the highest level of health and comfort conditions for the employees and visitors, innovative solutions such as solar collectors, trigeneration and ice storage systems, different from other public buildings, have been applied to save energy. Rain water is stored and used for irrigation of the entire garden and landscaping areas and gray water obtained from the treatment of wastewater from wash basins and showers supplies 54% of the water need by using water as a recycled water for toilet reservoirs.
Energy measurement, monitoring and recording system of the building was designed according to the Regulations on Energy Performance in Buildings and BREEAM criteria.
